4 Reasons to LOVE The Blue Giraffe in Inlet Beach

Excited to share you can find my poetry book, “We Are all Wildflowers” at one of my MOST FAVORITE local gems in Inlet Beach, The Blue Giraffe. It is currently the ONLY place you can find my book in Walton county. But that isn’t the only reason why I love them, I have been patronizing and fan-girling over this store for over a decade…here are a few more reasons why you should check them out….

4 reasons to LOVE The Blue Giraffe in Inlet Beach, Florida

1.) They support local and regional artists of all levels.

Whether you are a newly published poet, a talented silversmith or a whiz with watercolors, you are sure to find respect at The Blue Giraffe. And as a consumer, you never know what you are going to find. The Blue Giraffe makes art accessible and easy to love. They support artists of all different backgrounds and followings, which makes for a more enriched and enjoyable shopping experience, like uncovering treasure. The art, the beauty seems to be what counts, not the pedigree. You could find a national award winner or someone that just got started and makes art on the weekends.

Some Artists I personally love represented there: Holly Rhodes, Emily Little, Eddie Powell, Ginger Leigh Designs, and Moore Family Folk Art

2.) Their generosity of spirit.

Mother/Daughter Owners Debbie Taylor and Christi Sheffield are invested in the local creative community and spreading joy far and wide. They have spent years creating a generous culture that you can’t help but feel when you walk into their store. You can feel their love, compassion and dedication to their artists and the clients that keep coming back year after year. You can see them going the extra mile whether it is promoting their artists, donating to charitable causes pushing the community forward, or offering a genuine smile or hug at check-out like you are the only one in the room.

3.) They are super responsive virtually!

There have been many times where I have only had my lunch hour to shop for a gift for a client or loved one so I relied on shooting them a message over Facebook asking for help. They are quick to respond back, often sending pictures of items that met my budget and tastes, which is soooooo helpful when power shopping! And, if you find yourself in need of more help, like choosing the perfect artwork for your home or listing, they offer onsite Art Consulting services. So whether you need help with selection, installation or a need a piece mailed to you, they got you covered!

4.) They have creative gifts of all sizes and budgets.

Need a whimsical kitchen towel? A pack of funny or handprinted greeting cards? A whimsical piece of artwork made from recycled items? A masterpiece for your new gulf-front vacation home? Whether your budget is $20 or $2000, you are sure to find something.  Debbie and Christi not only carry a wide variety of paintings, but have hand curated lovely items like handmade jewelry, seasonal gift items, art supplies and heartwarming and educational books in their little book nook!  There literally is something for everyone. If you are on a budget and a mission to find the perfect gift, they have been known to make great suggestions, and ship your gift for you if you can’t make it into the store.

These are just a few reasons why I love, no ADORE the folks at The Blue Giraffe. Do not visit the 30A corridor without checking out their shop!

Bonus Fun Fact: The Blue Giraffe was recently voted Perfect in the Walton County Best Art Gallery/Studio category. No mystery there, as this mother/daughter owned gallery has established itself since 2010 as the place to shop for original art and specialty gifts. Their tapestry of local and regional award-winning artists offers a true reflection of the artistic spirit of our South Walton Beaches community.

Visit them in person at their shop in Inlet Beach, just off scenic 30A and 98 at 13123 US-98 East Inlet Beach, Florida or visit them on their Facebook page.
